2026 TRYOUTS
2026 Season: Tryout Information
ANYONE PLANNING TO TRY OUT MUST REGISTER FOR TRYOUTS PRIOR TO MONDAY, MAY 11. NO WALK-INS WILL BE ACCEPTED.
1) Tryouts for current DHS and Peachtree Middle students will be held on Monday, May 11 and Wednesday, May 13 from 6:30pm - 8:30pm. Monday's session will be held at Peachtree Middle School in the gym and Wednesday's session will be held at Saint Luke's Presbyterian Church in the Great Hall.
Please plan on arriving at Peachtree no later than 6:15pm on Monday to get checked in and help set up the gym.
Players will be assigned a tryout number. Please plan on keeping your number for both tryout dates.
Please wear volleyball shorts (Nike Pro or similar), knee pads, and court shoes. Wear a shirt corresponding to your grade for the 2026-2027 season. No shirts or any other clothing with any club affiliation will be allowed.

We know of a few players with a conflict for Wednesday's tryout session. Guidance is to use Monday's session to give it your all and make a great impression! If any player has a conflict with Wednesday's session and has not yet notified the coaching staff with an email to dunwoodyhsvolleyball@gmail.com please do so ASAP.
Any player who is invited back for Wednesday's tryout but does not show will be assumed to not be moving forward (exception - those who have notified the coaching staff of a conflict on Wednesday - the team will communicate with you directly.)
Players will be provided a schedule for the season and season dues on Monday. Please review carefully - volleyball is a short, but intense season so commitment to all practices and matches is required.
2) Paperwork must be approved in FinalForms prior to tryouts. No Exceptions.

Once the parent paperwork is complete, your student will need to create an account, log in, and sign their portion of the paperwork

If all of your boxes on the left are green, and the sports physical is current and will not expire before November 2026, you should be good.
3) Transfers will try out in early June.
If you are not currently attending Peachtree or Dunwoody, you will be sent information about tryouts in a separate email as soon as we have confirmation from DeKalb County on when transfer tryouts can be held. Per DeKalb County rules, students cannot try out until they are officially registered for school in Dekalb County which won't be until the 2025-2026 school year is complete.
